Terms of Service
These terms and conditions apply to all purchases made through the Cryptic Cargo website, between the buyer of the Cryptic Cargo escape game experience, gift card and/or additional services (customer) and Cryptic Cargo Ltd Oy (Company ID: 2853646-4, Adress: Punavuorenkatu 5 A 30 00120 Helsinki, Finland) (vendor). The parties, the customer and the vendor, form a contract of ordering an escape room experience, additional services and/or a gift card . This document consists of terms and conditions for this contract.
The customer accepts these terms and conditions by ordering.
The customer must be at least 18 years old in order to order. Orders are made on the Cryptic Cargo website, and the order need to be paid during the process, using the provided payment methods. The payment methods are provided by Checkout Finland Oy.
During ordering, the customer must give out the requested contact information to Cryptic Cargo. This information is collected to be used in possible problem situations, and to eventual additional billing. The customer must give out correct and accurate contact information.
The order is confirmed when the vendor sends an order confirmation to the email adress the customer has provided. The order confirmation requires a successful payment. The order can be cancelled if the vendor hasn’t received the payment from the customer, even after the order confirmation has been sent out. Cryptic Cargo takes no responsibility in situations where the website, the customer’s own internet connection or any other circumstance causes the order to be cancelled before the order confirmation is sent to the customer.
If Cryptic Cargo has a reason to expect that the customer will act fraudulently or harmfully against Cryptic Cargo, they have the right to cancel the customer’s order.
2.1 Payment methods
The webstore, Cryptic Cargo, is responsible of the marketing and delivery. We take care of the legal requirements of the purchase. If you have complaints or want to return a product, you should contact us, Cryptic Cargo, directly.
Paytrail provides the following payment methods to the webstore: Credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express), payments through Finnish internet banks, Mobilepay.
The gift cards and escape room board games purchased through Cryptic Cargo have a 14 day legally mandated cancellation period. If the customer wants to cancel the gift card or board game purchased, they need to send an email to email@example.com within 14 days from receiving the item. The customer pays for return postage. We recommend sending the product as a trackable package in order to verify the return in case the goods go missing during return delivery. The returned board games need to be unopened and unused, Cryptic Cargo checks this upon the products return. As the product is meant for one time use per player, no money is returned if Cryptic Cargo can see that the board game was opened or used.
The Cryptic Cargo portable escape experience doesn’t allow cancellations, but the customer can change their booking to an open gift card equal to the sum paid during booking. To receive a gift card with the complete sum paid during booking, the customer needs to contact firstname.lastname@example.org and request the change at the latest 7 days before the booking in question. If the customer wants to change the booking to a gift card later than 7 days before, Cryptic Cargo has the right to keep 50% of the paid amount, and deliver a gift card that equals 50% of the sum paid. If a booking has been changed to a gift card, the gift card can’t be returned. If the customer is ill and thus needs to cancel the service later than 7 days prior the booking, they may do so free of charge if they present a valid doctors certificate.
Cancellations are processed as fast as possible, latest 7 business days after receiving the cancellation (gift cards) or the return (board games).
4. Terms of playing
The players must watch the instructional video shown before the game and follow all the rules given in it. The players are not allowed to break any items, change them in any way or take items with them after the game. No items need to be broken in order to solve the game.
It is not allowed to eat or drink any game items or to disassemble or misuse any electronics. Cryptic Cargo Ltd Oy is not responsible for any damage, resentment or loss of revenue playing the game, organising games to others or using the game items can cause. The customer is responsible for telling about the terms of playing to the other players.
All the game items for portable escape games must be returned in the same condition as they were received. The customer (person who ordered the game) is responsible to Cryptic Cargo Ltd Oy for any broken, altered, dirty or unreturned items or any other damage caused to Cryptic Cargo. If the game is returned late, Cryptic Cargo has the right to bill all the additional days from the customer.
Cryptic Cargo owns all the rights to all material in its games and on their website. The Cryptic Cargo games or game materials are not allowed to be copied, and solutions to puzzles are not allowed to be shared in digital channels. Anyone copying the games or other materials is forced to pay for damage caused.
